Conferences are always fun and valuable because one meets old colleagues and collaborators and gets to know new ones. The DDD2015, Digital Didactical Designs conference at Umea University, Sweden on June 3-4 was a tremendous learning experience in terms of the content and the wonderful people I met. I was here for the 1st conference but this one surpassed it in terms of the presentations, discussions and organization. Despite our varied interests and research agendas, the conference theme provided a common thread for tour theoretical frameworks and empirical studies.
