Invited article in inaugural issue of Journal of Online Doctoral EducationQuality Considerations in the Design and Implementation of Online Doctoral Programs“. The article describes one approach to designing and implementing an online doctoral program based on the Community of Inquiry framework (Garrison, Anderson & Archer, 2000) and provides successful examples and data from the UF Ed.D. in Educational Technology to support the proposed design. The issue contains thoughtful articles on the design and implementation of various phases of online doctoral programs.
